As the Co-Founder, CEO and Chairman of I love Julia Foundation, Inc., it is my humbled pleasure to welcome you to explore our new website and links to related social media. I am also very pleased to share a brief synopsis of our history and missions with you, and invite your involvement in our charitable activities toward helping to improve the lives of individuals and families.
I Love Julia Foundation, Inc. is named in honor and memory of my Grandmother, the late Congresswoman Julia M. Carson. Before the Congresswoman's passing on December 15, 2007, we had many conversations about how the people and causes that she cared for and supported would continue to be served after she was no longer physically with us. It was during those conversations that, together we developed her vision and concepts for the Foundation.
During her lifetime, the Congresswoman shared a special relationship with the men and women that serve our Country in the military, and once donated an apartment building that she owned to be used as housing for homeless Veterans. In that same tradition of charity and goodwill, it is complimentary that the Foundation's primary charitable focus is to provide housing for Veterans and their families.
