Who We Are

I Love Julia Foundation, Inc. is a community-based, 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization that was founded by the late Congresswoman Julia M. Carson, before her passing in December 2007.

The Congresswoman’s vision for the Foundation was to see it serve as a champion for the people and causes that she supported so dearly during her lifetime of public service and charity.

The Foundation endeavors to perform our charitable works in the memory and tradition of our Founder, the late Congresswoman Julia M. Carson.

Our Mission

The Foundation’s mission is to assist those in need with access to human and social services; to support programs that promote education, health & wellness; and to provide housing for Veterans of the United States Armed Forces.

What We Do

We currently conduct our charitable activities in the Greater Indianapolis area, with a special emphasis on providing housing and supportive services to homeless and disabled Veterans.

Additionally, we seek to join our talents and resources with other not-for-profit organizations, faith-based organizations, and government entities to address a myriad of social needs and environmental causes in a charitable manner.
